Frequently asked questions
What we get asked most.
How much does it cost to update WordPress?
A one-time update is quoted based on the state of the site; with monthly maintenance, updates are included from $180 per month + VAT.
Can the site break?
That’s why we test on a copy first and back up everything. If something fails in production, we restore in minutes.
How often should I update?
Ideally monthly for plugins and theme, and immediately for security patches. A maintenance plan handles it without you having to keep track.
Do you also update PHP on the hosting?
Yes. We check compatibility, update any code that needs it and switch the PHP version with testing.
What about unlicensed premium plugins?
We identify them and recommend renewing the license, replacing them or removing them. A plugin without updates is a security risk.
